Dr's appointment 1/21/09

Had another doctor's appointment yesterday. I was 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated and his head was in +2 position. What all of that means? Well, nothing really. He could come today or he could wait until I'm induced, really. Either way, he'll be here in less than 2 weeks!

Update

Had a doctor's appointment today. She said everything is measuring perfectly. She also said that if I don't have him on my own before, she's going to induce me on February 4th at 6 am. That's three weeks from yesterday. The countdown is on!

Shower

This weekend, we had another baby shower and we just have to say that we have been so blessed with amazing friends and family. Kaden is already so spoiled and he's not even here yet. We got everything of his put away now; the only thing left to do before he gets here is to wash some of his clothes and pack the hospital bag. It's hard to figure out what to wash because we don't know how big he'll be when he is born, but I guess we'll just have to give it our best shot.
Joe's been working for a week now and he likes the job. At first, he didn't have a lot to do and was bored, but he's been given projects now and enjoys it more.
Misty and Landen are going to come visit one day this week and I'm so excited. It'll be nice to see them because it's been awhile. Then on Thursday, I have a doctor's appointment. This will be the first appointment Joe hasn't been to, but he can't miss work since he just started.
One month from today is Kaden's due date. He's going to be here before we know it and we can't wait. We're so excited to see him, hold him, hug him, kiss him and care for him. Until next time....

It has been a busy couple of weeks for us, shown by the lack of updating. For some reason, we were unable to upload photos to the blog at my parents, but hopefully it will work at our house. A few weeks ago, we had the baby shower at the church and were blessed with many, many gifts. We really appreciate everything that everyone has done for us/Kaden. Finals week was a long week but Christina ended the semester with a 4.0 and Joe graduated! Our holidays were good and it was nice spending time with our families. We're glad, however, to be back home and begin settling into our new house. Joe starts work tomorrow at Burns and McDonnel. We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and she said everything is measuring perfect. We go back on January 15th and then we'll start going weekly. It's hard to believe there's only 5 1/2 weeks until his due date.
